Hokkaido is our go to spot for sushi! They always go above and beyond to take care of us. Kathy and I recently enjoyed a seaweed salad, Tuna Tataki, a Rainbow Roll, Naruto Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Cucumber Roll, and a Philly Roll. I love the hot Saki on chilly nights and they always have cold Sopporo. Go see them!
Really good sushi. Sat at the bar and talked to the chef. Nice guy. Gave us lots of different fish to try. Waitress gave us coffee cake. Food is great. Hibachi area is separated and looked great as well. Can't recommend enough.
We ordered the sushi deluxe dinner, Las Vegas roll, Harumaki (spring rolls) appetizer and a side salad. Service was attentive. Sushi was decoratively prepared and also very delicious. Spring rolls (4) were fresh and enjoyable. Excellent meal overall. We highly recommend Hokkaido.
The place was lovely. Very demurtcy, very demure. The portion size was decent, the presentation was expected . The fish was extremely fresh. Very lovely service. Thanks so much for the excellent service guys! we will be back!
Hokkaido has smaller grill than what you'd typically see at a hibachi, and I like that. It seats smaller number of customers per grill so it's not too awkward sitting with bunch of strangers, unless you are a social butterfly and you like that. Fried rice, vegetables, and meats were well cooked but little too salty for my taste but I'm sure some people find this strong flavor well. Server was nice and prompt, and the chef was nice too. I'd definitely go back to try other things in their menu!
Everything was great except for when I initially entered the restaurant. The female host was not welcoming, and extremely rude in my opinion. To not walk a guest where their party is seated, and to exclaim loudly "Oh there's another one, your party over there!" Whole basically pointing and shooing me off really rubbed me the wrong way. I spent $90 for myself and expect to be treated like a paying customer vs being stereotyped. Luckily the waiter, cooks, and food saved this review.
this place has amazing food quality and the service is incredible. the people are all so sweet and the atmosphere is great. i 100% recommend to anyone who loves food, fun, friends, and just happiness in general! if you want to be joyful, come to Hokkaido!
